The Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate Management team on Thursday, 31 August, 2023 paid a congratulatory visit to the pioneer Vice Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Professor Olanrewaju Ademola Olaniyan in his Erelu Campus Office.
The Management team, led by the Acting Provost, Mr. M. O. Falade on arrival, expressed delight seeing their erstwhile Council Chairman, Professor Olaniyan in another higher capacity in the service to the Pace- Setting State. According to the Lanlate College Chief Executive, “We have come here today as a Management team to felicitate you on your appointment as the pioneer Vice Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo by His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, Oyo State Governor. We are most delighted that the Governor identified the best in you for this new job. Your services as our Council Chairman at Lanlate are testaments to your leadership prowess and sagacity. We are most glad that Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo would further benefit from your wealth of experience as you offer the system a quality leadership. On behalf of the College Management, Staff, Students and members of the College community, I congratulate you and wish you a successful tenure of office. It is our prayer to God Almighty to work and walk with you, Sir.”
The congratulatory visit afforded the Lanlate College Management to have a bilateral talk on areas of collaboration between the College and the new University.
Responding, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the Lanlate College Management team led by the Acting Provost, Mr. Falade for taking out time to pay him a congratulatory visit. “I am happy to receive your team today. I am glad to describe you as a family as we had worked together before now and we are not new to ourselves. Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo like you know is an offshoot of the defunt College. Our aim is to work in line with the vision of the Visitor to the University, His Excellency, Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde. Efforts are ongoing on our resource verification by the NUC as we move towards admitting students against the next academic session. I assure you of positive collaborations particularly in the area of academics. While we are sure that our transition would affect your College positively in the area of student enrollment, we are hopeful that your College would collaborate with us soon as an affiliate for sandwich degree programme. On behalf of the University, I thank you for your visit and wish you a safe trip back home”, submitted the University Chief Executive.
