Administration

The Governing Council The Governing Council, as the supreme governing authority of the College, is responsible for the general management of the affairs of the college and in particular the control of the property and the finances of the College. It also has power to do anything, which in its opinion, is calculated to facilitate the carrying out of the purposes for which the college was established. In addition, the council has power to make rules for the purpose of exercising any of its respective functions or regulating its own procedure. Composition The council consists of the following members:

(a) A Chairman, appointed by the State Governor on the recommendation of the Commissioner for Education.
(b) Ex – Officio members who shall be
    (i) The Permanent Secretary of the State’s Ministry of Education Science and Technology or his representative
    (ii) The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance Budget and Planning or his representative
    (iii) The Provost of the College
    (iv) The Deputy Provost
    (v) The Principal of each campus as and when established.
(c) Ten persons to be appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of the Commissioner of Education viz:
    (i) Four persons not being members of staff of any Nigerian University who have been concerned with higher education in the state.
    (ii) One person each from among the staff of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso and University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
    (iii) Two persons representing the Academic Staff of the College not below the status of Senior Principal Lecturer.
    (iv) One representative of the Alumni Association of the College. (v) Registrar, as Secretary.

Principal Officers of the College The following are the principal officers of the College:
Provost
Appointed by the Governing Council subject to the approval of the Governor. He is the Chief Executive of the College and exercises overall control on all staff and students in the College.
Deputy Provost
Appointed by the Governing Council subject to the approval of the Governor and the recommendation of the Academic Board to the Council through the provost and performs such functions as the provost may from time to time assign to him.
Registrar
Appointed by the Governing Council subject to the approval of the Governor. He is responsible to the Provost for the general administration of the College except on financial matters.
Bursar:
Appointed by the Governing Council subject to the approval of the Governor and he is responsible to the Provost for the administration of the finances of the College.
College Librarian:
Appointed by the Governing Council subject to the approval of the Governor and he is responsible to the provost for the administration of College Libraries
Director of Works:
Appointed by the Governing Council subject to the approval of the Governor and he is responsible to the Provost for the administration of works and maintenance services.

In the College set up, there are also Heads of Academic Units each academic unit or school is headed by a Dean who is elected by all full-time academic staff of the school from among the most Senior Academic Staff of the school.
